There is no place like home...
While my blog is dedicated towards traveling, and I swear I am not taking back my obsession for travel, I was reminded this past week that home really is where the heart is.  Traveling open’s up the soul and invigorates and challenges the mind, but home is where you can rest your feet, relax and not feel pressured to do anything.  I went home, to Indiana, this past week and I found that...

FJORDS of NORWAY
The Fjords of Norway are a much sought after vacation area due to the fact the Norway Fjords were carved from the hard rock mountains along the coastline by slow moving glaciers. The Norway Fjords offer a breath-taking view of magnificent steep cliffs, lush green slopes, and snow capped mountaintops. Along with the beauty and unbelievable views, Fjords of Norway are home to a secret. In 2000 along...

WEBSHOTS... check me out! →
I recently found this amazing social media site for photography.  I also had a flickr account, but after fiddling with both sites, I found webshots to be a LOT easier to use.  Webshots also has a larger video/photo uploading limit.  PLEASE visit my Webshots account at courtneycarr1119 and make your own account as well!

Get to know the world...
Get To Know the WORLD… do you want to know a little bit more about your world?  I did some research and came upon some facts that I found interesting.  Our world is growing so fast… it’s important for us to keep it clean and healthy. After all… we only get ONE world. In 1999, the world population passed the 6 billion mark. The latest estimated population fro mid-year 2009...

Viet Nam & Cambodia
We arrived to Viet Nam on Sunday March 22nd.  I woke up at about 5 am to watch us slowly twist and turn down a river that eventually led us in to our port!  It was really cool to watch the sunrise as we sailed between the jungles of Viet Nam.  The first day we got off the ship and traveled our port city, Ho Chi Minh.  We were all told that in Viet Nam, they can make dresses and suits specifically...

Morocco...where are the camels?
Due to our inability to refuel in the Straight of Gibraltar, we arrived to Morocco a day late. I was actually surprised and pleased about how the staff on the ship immediately created various events that provided us entertainment for our extra day on the ship!  We had a talent show, many workout classes, movies, a lecture on self-defense, and they even made us ice cream sundaes for dinner! During...

CHINA... unforgettable
Hello everyone!  So China was amazing! This country is like an entire different world especially when it comes to sanitation, rules, food, and so much more. But I LOVED it!  We arrived to Hong Kong on the morning of March 29th.  I could already feel how much colder China was than Viet Nam, and that made me very happy! Ha But where we were ported you could see the entire Hong Kong skyline and it is...

CHINA
When I traveled China, I went on a tour without Semester at Sea… and that was probably the best thing I ever did.  This tour was so much fun and the people I went with were invigorating and inspiring.  Our tour guide, Jane, was the cutest little woman and the people in my group were entertaining to say the least.  I loved China… everything about it.  From the unkept Birds Nest, to the...

TRAVEL... NOW! GO! DO IT! LEAVE!
I stumbled upon this article while I was surfing one of my favorite sites, Twenty-Something Travel.  And it has some very VALID points as to why we should all get up and go travel NOW! I want to give my personal thoughts on each of their points. 1. It’s Cheaper:  I think this is very true because right now, everything is cheaper.  Yes, times are tough and we all are trying to be careful with our...

WONDERS of the World
For a lot of my trip, I couldn’t believe how many “wonders of the world” i was visiting. However, half way through my trip, I realized that there are other places out there that are JUST as beautiful and inspiring. I also didn’t realize that there are a variety of ways to classify all the various wonders of the world.  Here is a list that I compiled from research and from...
